The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of emotional literacy skills training on reducing emotional divorce and feeling lonely in betrayed women. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest and follow-up with a control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all betrayed women of Mahshahr. 24 persons were selected by convenience sampling method and were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Gutman's Emotional Divorce Questionnaire (1995) and Russell, Pilva, and Cortona's Emotional Loneliness Questionnaire (1980) were used for data collection. Repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze the data. The results showed that emotional literacy skills training had a significant effect on decreasing emotional divorce and feeling lonely in betrayed women (P <0.001). As a result, Since betrayed women have high levels of emotional divorce and feelings of loneliness, utilizing different approaches to psychotherapy including emotional literacy training can be effective in improving the emotional divorce and feeling alone.
