This study aimed to Predict tendency toward drug abuse among university students on the base of spiritual experiences and sensation seeking. Thus, among all students University of Tehran, 398 students (238 females and 160 males) were selected using accidental sampling method, and were evaluated through research tools including tendency towards drugs scale (Dehkordyan, 1380), daily spiritual experience scale (Underwood & Teresi, 2002), and sensation seeking scale (Zuckerman, 1968). Data analysis using Pearson correlation and stepwise regression showed that spiritual experiences are significantly and positively (p<0/05) related to the drug addiction; the components of sensation seeking (disinhibit ion and Experience Seeking) have negative relationship with addiction. Also, stepwise regression showed that responsibility explains %11, and the presence of God and Adventure as a whole %16 of the variance of addiction. This study showed that high spiritual experiences can affect students’ tendency towards drugs.
