Abstract:   (2016 Views)

The purpose of this study was to predict the dimensions of psychological well-being of women with breast cancer based on coping styles. The statistical population included all women with breast cancer referring to Omid Hospital in Mashhad in 1394, in which 108 were selected by objective sampling and were selected through the initial interview and were asked for questionnaires "Folkman and Lazarus coping styles (1984) and psychological well-being of Carroll Reef (1989) ". To analyze the data, multivariable regression analysis (using the synchronous method) and Spss software version 19 were used. The findings of the data analysis showed that the problem-oriented coping style and the emotional coping style could negatively affect self-acceptance, personal growth, and environmental dominance. Positive and avoidable problem-solving styles and emotional coping styles can negatively predict positive relationships with others, self-determination, and targeted life. According to the results of this study, coping skills training can help to cope with breast cancer in women with the challenges of cancer and increase their psychological well-being.
