The most important aspect of marital relationship is commitment which has relation with love, satisfaction and stability ofmarriage.Understandingvariables that set the conditions formarital commitmentisveryimportant.The aim of thispresent study is todevelop amodel todifferentiationof self, coping strategies, andthemarital commitment. The  research was  a  descriptive-correlational  study.The populationconsisted ofall teachersand their spouseswhowereteachingin theacademic inKamyaran, Iran in 2016.The sampleconsisted of500 parents (250 couples)whowere selectedbysimplesampling methodand completed differentiation of self, coping with stressful situations and marital commitment.The data fromthequestionnaireswereanalyzedusing AMOS software. The Resultsindicate apositiveand significantrelationshipbetween marital commitmentswithcopingstrategies and Iposition . Also negative and significant relationship was observedbetweenmarital commitmentandemotion-focused copingstrategies. Also there are significant positivecorrelationsbetween thetask-oriented coping and Iposition,and between emotion-oriented coping and reactivity emotional and With others fusion. The resultsindicate that levelsofdifferentiation andcoping strategiescan bea goodpredictorof maritalcommitment. Therefore, Modification these two variables we can enhance marital commitment.
