Three waves of behavior therapy with different objectives and methods have been published that in the formation of each of them, several factors have had impact. This study look at these factors and attention the current challenges of the third wave of behavioral therapy, points to the emergence of a fourth wave of behavioral therapy. Including the challenges of the third wave behavioral therapy can be pointed to the emphasis on functional analysis and inattention to its limits, increase treatment and the lack of compassion focused therapy. These factors will lead to the emergence of a fourth wave of behavior therapy. A wave that according to Callaghan and Darrow (2015), looking for an approach to understand and treat suffering of humans and based on behavioral principles, driven by functional assessment, and Uses different methods of behavioral therapy .On the other hand, in this wave, Compassion-focused therapy is considered and more data is collected about its value.
