Abstract
In the field of counseling and family psychology, various approaches have been developed with the aim of reducing conflicts and communication disorders between couples. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of McMaster and Nichols family counseling approaches on couples' adaptability. The present study is a part of applied research in terms of purpose and a quasi-experimental study in terms of the method with pre-test-post-test and follow-up design. The study population consisted of all couples referring to counseling centers in Boroujerd in 2020- 2021, from which 36 couples with marital incompatibility were selected as a sample. The instruments of the present study included the Olson et al Adaptability Questionnaire (FACES-III) (1985). McMaster's family therapy intervention was performed in 10 sessions of 1.5 hours once a week and Nichols's family therapy was performed in 12 sessions of 1.5 hours once a week, But the control group did not receive any intervention. Research data were analyzed by mixed analysis of variance (repeated measures). Findings showed that McMaster's family therapy and Nichols's family therapy are effective in adaptability in couples (P <0.05). The results also showed that there was no significant difference between the effectiveness of McMaster's family therapy interventions and Nichols's family therapy in adaptation (p <0.05). It can be concluded that the use of the McMaster and Nickels model to further study the performance and structure of the family and consequently treatment planning and review the results of family therapy interventions for families is applied on a case-by-case basis.

Abstract
The present study investigated the effectiveness of schema therapy combined with exposure and response prevention methods on the distress tolerance and Severity of Obsessive Symptoms of women with washing obsession. The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a 2-month follow-up. Its statistical population included all the women referred to counseling clinics under the supervision of the Psychological System Organization in the north and center of Tehran between November 2020 and February 2021 and received a definite diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder by a psychiatrist. In this regard, 30 people were included using a purposeful sampling method and assigned to two experimental and control groups of 15 people. Then, the experimental group received individual intervention for 14 sessions. The research tools included the Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS, Simmons & Gaher,2005) and the Yale-Brown Obsession-Obsession Scale (1989, YBOCS). Data analysis using repeated measurement tests and Bonferroni's post hoc test revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups regarding distress tolerance and obsessive-compulsive disorder in the post-test and follow-up stages (P<0.01). It means that the integration of schema therapy with the exposure and response prevention technique increased distress tolerance and reduced the symptoms of obsession. This effectiveness remained significant until the two-month follow-up stage. According to the results, it can be stated that integrating schema therapy with exposure and response prevention technique is effective in increasing distress tolerance and reducing obsessive symptoms in women with washing obsessive disorder.

Abstract
This study aimed to predict adolescents' tendency to violence based on family conflicts with the mediating role of the quality of parent-child relationships. The present study was a descriptive-correlation type of path analysis. The statistical population of the research was made up of all the boys and girls studying in the second level of secondary school in Ardabil in the academic year of 2022-2023, and a sample of 312 people was selected by cluster sampling method. The tools of this research included the Iranian adolescent's risk-taking scale (IARS, Zadeh Mohammadi et al., 2007), the parent-adolescent conflict questionnaire (PACQ, Younesi et al., 2011), and the parent-child relationship scale (PCRS, Moreland and Shovel, 1983). The data were analyzed using the path analysis method. The results of the path analysis indicated the appropriate fit of the model. The findings showed that there is a positive relationship between family conflicts and adolescents' tendency to violence, and there is a negative and significant relationship between the quality of parent-child relationships with violent tendencies and family conflicts (p<0.01). quality of parent-child relationships played a mediating role between family conflicts and teenagers' tendency to violence (p<0.001). It can be concluded that family conflicts and the quality of parent-child relationships play a key role in adolescents' tendency to violence, and it is necessary to pay attention to these factors in interaction with each other in programs to reduce adolescents' tendency to violence.

Abstract
This research was conducted to investigate the mediating role of the meaning of life in the relationship between identity styles with emotional maturity. The current research was a descriptive-correlation type of path analysis. The statistical population of this research was all adolescent girls who were studying in the second secondary level of Tehran city in the academic year of 2021-2022. Using the available sampling method, a sample of 289 people was selected and participated in the study. Research tools included the emotional Maturity Scale (EMS, Singh & Bhargava, 1990), Identity Style Inventory (ISI, Berzonsky, 1992), and Meaning Life questionnaire (MLQ, Steger & et al, 2006). The data were analyzed using the path analysis method. The results of the structural equation analysis indicated the appropriate fit of the model. The findings showed that informational and moratorium identity styles were able to predict emotional maturity (p<0.001) directly. Also, confused and normative identity styles were able to predict emotional maturity indirectly through the meaning of life (p<0.001). These results show that identity styles, considering the important role of the meaning of life, can explain emotional maturity and it is necessary to pay attention to these factors in interaction with each other.
