They form our knowledge about ourselves and the world in a way that we forecast and regulate life incidences based on them. The objective of the current study is the survey of the couple’s primary inconsistent schemas and the matrimonial adjustment in the married couples from Tehran’s science and research unit. The study subjects include 50 couples (100 people) from among the married students of Tehran’s science and research unit all of who met the study entrance criteria, and they were selected based on the randomized sampling method. For data collection two questionnaires were applied including the Yang’s primary inconsistent schema questionnaire (long form) and Spanier’s matrimonial adjustment. The regression analysis and chi score test (chi square) were used for data analysis. The study results indicated that, 1. There is a significant and negative relationship between the primary inconsistent schemas and matrimonial adjustment in the married students of Tehran’s science and research unit. 2. There is a significant and negative relationship between each of the fields of early inconsistent schemas and matrimonial adjustment in the married students of Tehran’s science and research unit. 3.
