Divorce is a multidimensional phenomenon and a consequence of multiple causes and the cause of many social, economic and psychological problem. Violence is one of the reasons for the tendency of people to divorce. This is a qualitative research. The sample size is 30 women who applicants for the divorce in Kerman and were selected by available sampling method. The data suggests that physical violence with 18 cases and 60 percentage is the most important factor for divorce and verbal violence with 13 cases and 43.3 percentage frequency and behavioral violence with 12 cases and 40% percentage frequency are in the next place. From the perspective of women applicants for the divorce, violence is the most important factor that has determined them to divorce petition.
