Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between mental health and its components (Somatization, anxiety and insomnia, social dysfunction and severe depression), spiritual intelligence and religious status among students participating in national competitions of the Qur'an, E'thrat, and prayer In the summer of 2017, in the city of Ardabil. Research method: This research is a survey, and its statistical test is the Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The statistical population is the research of all students participating in the national Quran, E'thrat and prayer competitions in the summer of 2017. The sampling method is random-categorical so that among students of each province equal number, individuals were randomly selected as the statistical sample, and among the boys participating in the tournament, 220 people were chosen as sample members. They were To collect data, the Goldberg and Hiller (1997) mental health scale were used. The Spiritual Intelligence Questionnaire (2008) was used to measure Spiritual Intelligence and to evaluate the religious status, Lotfabadi Religious Status Questionnaire (2002) was used. Results: The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between religious state and mental health (and components of Somatization, anxiety, and insomnia, social dysfunction and severe depression) and between spiritual intelligence and mental health And the elements of anxiety and insomnia and severe depression) have a significant negative relationship. The results also showed that only religious status predicted mental health of students significantly (p≤0.00). Conclusion: Regarding the significant negative correlation between religious status and mental health (and components of Somatization, anxiety, and insomnia, social dysfunction and severe depression) and spiritual intelligence and mental health (and components anxiety and insomnia and severe depression). Students are participating in the Qur'an, E'thrat and prayer tournaments; these factors should be addressed in the face of their psychological difficulties.
