Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) is a growing attention in the media and among researchers has been conceptualized as a category of behavioral addictions and different diagnostic criteria have been proposed for it. Although there is no consensus on the correct diagnosis of Internet addiction disorder, co-morbidity is its first concern. The main objective of the present study was to investigate the relationship between Internet dependency, social phobia, and the self-efficacy. For this purpose, 100 subjects of student by Cluster sampling method were selected. All the subjects fill three questioners; the Young's Internet Addiction Questionnaire, the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), and the General Self-efficacy Scale- Sherer. Data analysis with Pearson correlation and Multivariate regression analysis has shown that there were significant relationship between internet dependency and social phobia (P < 0/01 & r =0/791), and also there were significant relationship between social phobia and self-efficacy (P < 0/01 & r = - 0/752). Furthermore, stepwise regression results indicated that 66% of the variance in self-efficacy and social phobia can predict the Internet dependency. According to the results, the importance of the simultaneous presence of both disorders and boost a person's self-efficacy is emphasized.
