Nowadays, Corona disease anxiety is becoming common among people and has become a major concern for mental health. People perceive Corona disease anxiety differently depending on their individual characteristics. Therefore, the aim of this study was the prediction of Corona disease anxiety based on the health locus of control and perceived social support. The method of the present study was descriptive-correlational. The study statistical population was people who referred to the state welfare (Behzisti) organization of Kerman in 2021, of which 200 were selected according to the convenience sampling method. The Corona Disease Anxiety Scale by Alipour et al (2020), Multidimensional Health Locus of Control by Wollaston and Davis (1992), and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support by Zimet et al (1998) are used for data collection. Pearson-R correlation and stepwise regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the Corona disease anxiety had a positive and significant relationship with the chance locus of control, and a negative and significant relationship with the internal locus of control and perceived social support (p <0.01). The results of regression analysis also showed that the health locus of control and perceived social support predict altogether 0.29 of the Corona disease anxiety variance. These results showed that people with an internal health locus of control, as well as people with higher perceived social support, had lower levels of Corona disease anxiety. Therefore, by informing and using appropriate psychological interventions, the life quality of people during the epidemic can be improved.
