The purpose of this research was to predict the separation anxiety of primary school children based on the personality structure and thematic relationships of mothers. The descriptive research method was correlation type. The statistical population included all primary school children of schools in the 2nd district of Tehran in 2019, and 384 of them were selected using available sampling. The instruments used include the Separation Anxiety Scale (Parent and Child Version) by Han et al. (2003) (SAS, the NEO-FFI Five Factor Questionnaire (1985), and Bell's Thematic Relationship Scale (1995) (BTRS). ) were used for simultaneous analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of multiple regression analysis showed that about 13% of the variance of children's separation anxiety was accounted for by the variable factors of personality structure (extroversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) and The subscales of subjective relationships (alienation, social inadequacy, and self-interview) are predicted (P<0.05). The results showed that extroversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness have a negative and significant relationship with separation anxiety. Alienation, social incompetence, and self-interference have a positive and significant relationship with separation anxiety (P<0.05). The result of the analysis of variance showed that there is no significant relationship between the separation anxiety of elementary school children and the age of mothers (0.05).
