The present study aimed to predict critical thinking based on personality traits and executive functions in students. The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included all students of Islamic Azad University, Rohan Branch, in the academic year 2023-2024, of which 382 people were selected as a sample using the available sampling method. However, finally, the data of 350 people were analyzed. To collect data, Facione & Facione's California Critical Thinking Skills Test: Form B (CCTST: FB, 1990), Costa and Neo-McCree's NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI, 1985), and Nejati's Executive Functions Questionnaire (EFQ, 2013) were used. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between the components of personality structure and executive functions with critical thinking in students (P<0.05), and in total, they explain 56.3% of the variance of the critical thinking variable (P<0.05). In general, it can be stated that to promote critical thinking, special attention should be paid to the role of personality traits and executive functions in students.
