The present study investigates and compare happiness, coping strategies and social anxiety in two groups of adolescents and young families living in centers boarding as well as boys and girls. In this study, 147 boys and girls aged 12 to 18 years, cluster sampling, all available sampling from Tehran and adolescents, the teenagers living in centers boarding houses and city government in Tehran were selected and completed, Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) Adolescent Coping Scale, Short Form (ACS-2) and Lajrsa adolescent social anxiety questionnaire. Then the data were analyzed by multivariate (MANOVA) technique. The results showed that students living in boarding centers have less happiness and more social anxiety and use less effective coping strategies. Regarding the relationship between the variables with each other and their impact on mental health, providing conditions for improving the situation of adolescents, seems essential.
