Abstract:   (2095 Views)
This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of group narrative therapy on reducing depression among divorced women referring to the Crisis Intervention Center in Shirvan. The samples of this quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and control group included 20 individuals who were selected according to the study criteria. The samples were then randomly divided into two groups, namely, experimental and control groups. The research tool was the Beck Depression Inventory-second edition (BDI-II). After conducting pretest for each group, narrative therapy training sessions were held during eight 2-hour sessions for the experimental group, while the control group received no intervention. At the end of the sessions, both groups underwent posttest. T-test was used to assess the differences between the two groups. The results showed that group narrative therapy training could lead to lower depression scores in the experimental group.
