Effect of perceptual-motor trainings on body awareness children with Dawn Syndrome disorder. Rooyesh 2018; 7 (7) :275-286

Background and Objectives: Perceptual-Motor Training is including motor activity the main objective of this activity's is improvement cognitive skills or education and it refers to the developmental program for children. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of perceptual-motor trainings on body awareness children with Dawn Syndrome disorder.
Methods: the research method was semi-empirical manner conducted through a pretest-posttest design. For this purpose, 24 children Dawn Syndrome disorder (4-7 years old) from Shareza city and through a purposive sampling method were located in two groups experimental and control with randomly and equally. This study was included pretest, practice and posttest phases. In pretest phase, participants executed Pordo test. Experimental group 24 sessions training program executed during 8 weeks (3 sessions per week). After training program completed, participants executed Pordo test. Data analyzed with Wilcoxon and U Mann Whitney statistical methods.
Results: The results indicated that a perceptual-motor training program effect on body awareness and their sub scale.
Conclusions: Thus, perceptual- motor training program could effective method in enhance body awareness of children with Dawn Syndrome disorder
