Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the prediction of academic self-efficacy based on self-regulated learning strategies, metacognition strategies and goal-progress orientation in students of Islamic Azad University branch Ahvaz. This research is correlational. For this purpose, the community of students, 400 people (180 boys and 180 girls) was selected based on stratified random sampling. The tool for collecting data in this research is through autonomous learning strategies questionnaire Pentrej and De Grote (1990), metacognition of O’neill and Abedi (1997), the scale of the goal-progress orientation Megli et al. (2000) and Owen and Franman's academic self-efficacy questionnaire (1988). Pearson correlation and regression analysis Multiple was used, and the results showed between the components of the self-regulated learning strategies (Repeat and review, note writing, abstracts, organizing, Comprehension of material), metacognitive strategies (planning, effort and perseverance) and the components of the goal-progress orientation (goals of mastery, performance-approach objectives and performance-avoidance goals) There is a meaningful relationship with academic self-efficacy. Also, analyze data from the regression method showed that among the predictor variables in the order of objectives of mastery, performance-approach objectives, and performance-avoidance objectives the proper predictors for the variable of academic self-efficacy criterion in students.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to Comparison of the effectiveness of immunization training against stress and self-compassion training on the tendency to masturbate and online pornography in male secondary school students. Among them, 75 male students of the 12th grade of upper secondary school were selected using multistage cluster sampling and randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group (25 people in each group). The experimental group underwent Meichenbaum’s (2008) stress immunization training in 8 sessions of 90 minutes and the control group received no intervention. The tools used included the Jozak Masturbation Questionnaire (2017) and the Chris and Rosenberg (2014) Internet Pornography Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance. The results of data analysis showed that stress immunization training and self-compassion training had an effect on the tendency to masturbate and internet pornography compared to the control group in male adolescents and it was also found that the effectiveness of self-compassion training reduced Masturbation and pornography online have been more common than stress immunization training (P <0.001). The results showed the effectiveness of stress immunization training and self-compassion training on adolescents' tendency to masturbate and Internet pornography.

Abstract

The present research aimed to design a model of marital procrastination based on the quality of sexual life and marital conflict with the mediation of the psychological well-being of women applicants for divorce in Ahvaz. The research design was correlational research of the path analysis type. The statistical population includes all women who applied for divorce in Ahvaz and were referred to the divorce courts and legal aid centers in the second 6 months of 2021. For this purpose, 250 people from the statistical population were selected as a sample by the purposeful sampling method. To collect data from the Marital Procrastination Questionnaire(MPQ) (Ghorbani Nejad, 2011), the Marital Conflict Questionnaire(MCQ) (Samani, 2006), the Sexual Quality Of Life-Female Questionnaire(SQOL-F) (Simond et al., 2005) and the Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS) (Reif & Keyes, 1995) were used.  For analysis data, path analysis was used. The results showed that the model has a flattering fit. Also, the quality of sexual life, marital conflict, and psychological well-being directly affect the marital procrastination of women applying for a divorce. The results indicate an indirect relationship between the quality of sexual life and marital conflict on marital procrastination with the mediation of the psychological well-being of women seeking a divorce. It should be noted that the acceptable significance level to confirm or reject the hypotheses was also considered P<0. 05. Therefore, paying attention to the quality of sexual life, marital conflict, and psychological well-being is very important in order to reduce marital procrastination.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of emotion-based marital relationship enrichment training during pregnancy on emotional empathy, perception of fairness, and sexual desires of young couples in Ahvaz City. The method was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the current research was all young couples with pregnant women aged 22 to 31 who were referring to the hospital and private offices of obstetricians and gynecologists in Ahvaz City in the year 2022, that Among them, 30 volunteer-qualified couples were selected in the framework of purposeful sampling and randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups (15 couples or 30 people in each group). The emotional empathy scale (Mehrabian and Epstein, 1972, EES), Fairness Perception Questionnaire (Perry, 2004, PEM), and Sexuality Questionnaire (Halbert, 1992, HSDQ) were used to collect data. For the experimental group, 8 sessions of 180 minutes of marital relationship enrichment training were implemented as a group, and no intervention was done in the control group. Descriptive statistical methods and univariate and multivariate correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The research results showed that by controlling the effect of the pre-test, there is a significant difference between the two groups in emotional empathy, perception of fairness, and sexual desires in the post-test stage (P<0.05). From the above findings, it can be concluded that emotion-based marital relationship enrichment training during pregnancy effectively improves emotional empathy, perception of fairness, and sexual desires of young couples.

Abstract

This study aimed to design a model of optimal online learning based on academic self-efficacy and self-regulated learning strategies with the mediation of academic adjustment. This research was applied in terms of purpose and the descriptive-correlational method. The statistical population of the research consisted of all the students of the Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz branch in the academic year 2021-2022, and 300 people were selected and studied by the purposive sampling method. To collect data Online Education Questionnaire(Kim et al., 2005, OEQ), Academic Self-Efficacy Questionnaire(Jinks & Morgan, 1999, ASEQ), Self-Regulated Learning Strategies Questionnaire(Karmi et al., 2006, SRLSQ), Educational Compatibility Questionnaire(Baker & Seriak, 1984, ECQ) were used. The data were analyzed by the path analysis method. The research findings showed that the path coefficient of the direct effect of academic self-efficacy and metacognitive learning strategies on academic adjustment is significant (p<0/05). Also, the path coefficient of the direct effect of academic self-efficacy, cognitive learning strategies, metacognitive learning strategies, and academic adjustment on online learning is significant(p<0/05). The indirect effect of academic self-efficacy, cognitive learning strategies, and metacognitive learning strategies on online learning was significant through academic adjustment(p<0/05), and the effect of cognitive learning strategies on optimal online learning was not significant through academic adjustment. The model has a flattering fit. It can be concluded that to increase the effect of academic self-efficacy and self-regulated learning strategies on the optimal online learning of students, it is possible to focus on strengthening academic adjustment.

Abstract

The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy based on mindfulness of body worth in obese women. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group with a three-month follow-up period. The research population consisted of all women with a body mass index of 30 or more who were referred to the health-treatment centers of Sari in 2023, from which 45 people were selected by the available method and randomly placed in three groups of 15 people. The tool of this research included Crocker et al.'s self-esteem questionnaire (CSWS, 2003). The experimental groups received cognitive-behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions based on mind awareness during 8 sessions of 90 minutes once a week. The analysis method of this research was repeated measurement variance analysis. The results showed that both the intervention of cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy based on mindfulness significantly increased the value of the body compared to the control group (p<0.05) and this result was permanent until the follow-up stage. Also, the results showed that there is no significant difference between the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy based on mindfulness of body worth in obese women (p<0.05). The findings showed. From the above findings, it can be concluded that cognitive-behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy based on mindfulness play a key role in increasing the value of the body of obese women.
