abstract ={The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of health beliefs in parenting practices and children's emotional distress. The present research method was the descriptive-correlation type of structural equation modeling. The statistical population was made up of parents with teenage children who were referred to counseling centers in Tabriz city in 2022-2023. Several 220 people were selected as a sample using the convenience Sampling method. The research tools included the Stress, Anxiety, and Depression Questionnaire (DASS-21) by Lavibond and Lavibond (1995), the Illness Feedback Scale (IAS) by Kellner (1987), and the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (APQ) by Shelton et al. (1996). Structural equation analysis was used to analyze the data. The results showed the optimal fit of the research model. The results showed that participatory parenting style and health beliefs have a significant direct effect on emotional distress (P=0.009) and poor supervision and unstable discipline also have a significant direct effect on health beliefs (P=0.009), but the effect of Direct participation, positive parenting and corporal punishment was not significant on health beliefs (P>0.05). Parenting methods of poor supervision (P=0.01) and inconsistent discipline (P=0.005) had a significant indirect effect on emotional distress, but involvement, positive parenting, and physical punishment did not show a significant indirect effect (P>0.05). These results show that health beliefs have a significant mediating role in the relationship between parenting practices of poor supervision and inconsistent discipline with the emotional distress of adolescents.},

abstract ={This research was conducted with the aim of meta-analysis of the influencing factors on improving the emotional-functional capabilities of adolescents by the integrated developmental approach. The statistical population was all the articles and theses related to the subject that were published in Persian in Iranian specialized scientific journals databases included in (magiran, irandoc, and sid) at years 2013 to 2023. Searching using keywords; Interactions, emotion regulation, cognitive skills (problem-solving, questioning, logical and flexible thinking), and metacognition was conducted with a focus on adolescents. Among the researchers included in this research, 40 cases were selected for review and analyzed with CMA2 software. The Funnel diagram was utilized to calculate the effect size, the Hedge's g, and the fixed and random effects model and To check the amount of publication bias in the studies. Also, I2 and Q tests indicated that the studies were not homogeneous. The results of the data analysis showed that the size of the combined effect of the factors that were affecting emotional-functional capabilities was 0.771 in the fixed model and 0.885 in the random model, which was statistically significant. Also, the greatest impact on emotional-functional capabilities was related to the effective interaction factor (1.784) and the least impact was related to the skill learning factor (0.053). Finally, the most important point was that among the factors affecting the emotional-functional abilities of adolescents, effective interactions, problem-solving ability, and emotion regulation strategies had the most meaningful effect, which means the importance of these three factors in improving the developmental performance of adolescents.},

abstract ={The present study was conducted to determine the comparison of happiness and character strengths based on gender and gender role attitudes. This research was descriptive and comparative. The statistical population of all students of Tehran city was considered in 2021. The sample size in this study was 600 people (296 women) and (304 men). Sampling was done by cluster random method. Data collection using the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ; Argyle, 1989), The Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS; Peterson and Seligman, 2004), and Attitude Toward Gender Role Questionnaire (ATGRQ; Kiani et al., 1387) was done. Data analysis was done using multivariate analysis of variance. The findings showed that there was no significant difference between gender and happiness, as well as between gender and happiness subscales (P<0.05); Also, the results showed that there was no significant difference between gender and the total score of character strengths and character virtues (P<0.05). Other results showed that there was a significant difference between gender attitudes (traditional/egalitarian) and happiness score (P<0.05); In fact, the happiness score of traditional people was significantly higher than egalitarian people. However, there was no significant difference between the two gender attitudes (traditional/ egalitarian) in the field of character strengths and character virtues (P<0.05). Therefore, we can conclude that gender does not affect happiness and character strengths; But the traditional gender attitude can lead to more happiness.},

abstract ={The purpose of the present study was to predict the quality of marital relationships and marital adjustment based on early maladaptive schemas and resilience in married women. The research method was a descriptive correlation. The statistical population included all married women who were referred to counseling centers in Tehran in 2022. The Non-random and targeted sampling method and statistical sample size based on sample power software and according to the possibility of dropout of subjects were considered 375 people. Collecting information using Spanier's Marital Adjustment Scale (DAS, 1976), Busby et al.'s Revision of the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (RDAS, 1995), Young's Early Maladaptive Schemas (YSQ-SF, 1998) and Connor and Davidson's Resilience Scale (CD-RISC, 2003) was implemented. Data analysis was done using SPSS-26 software and by simultaneous regression analysis test. The findings showed that the field of cut and rejection, impaired self-management and performance, other-orientedness, excessive listening and inhibition, and impaired limitations have a negative and significant relationship with marital adjustment and the quality of marital relationships (P<0.01). Also, the relationship between resilience and marital adjustment and the quality of marital relationships is positive and significant (P<0.01). Also, a total of 36.7% of the variance of the variable of marital adjustment and 31.4% of the variable of the quality of marital relations are explained by the predictor variables (P<0.05). It is concluded that the early maladaptive schema and resilience play an essential role in predicting the quality of marital relationships and marital adjustment.},

The present research was a descriptive correlation. The statistical population of the research was people over 18 years of age in Tehran in 2023, and a sample of 200 people was selected and a questionnaire was distributed among them using the available sampling method from the third region. Research tools included: Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS & Goodman, et al, 1989), Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS, Simons & Gaher, 2005), Metacognition Questionnaire (MCQ, Wells & Cartwright-Hatton, 2005) and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ, Gross & John, 2003). The path analysis method was used to analyze the data. The results of the path analysis method indicated that the model fit in well. The findings showed that distress tolerance and metacognitive beliefs were able to directly predict obsessive-compulsive disorder (p<0.001) and also distress tolerance indirectly through emotion regulation (reappraisal) could predict obsessive-compulsive disorder (p<0.001). abstract ={The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of emotion-focused therapy and self-compassion-focused therapy on self-esteem and shame experienced in women with binge eating. The present study is a semi-experimental pre-test post-test design with a two-month follow-up. The statistical population was all women with binge eating disorder in Tehran city in the year 2023. First 45 people were selected and then replaced by a simple random method in 2 experimental groups and 1 control group. The tools of this research included Gomali et al.'s binge eating severity (BES, 1982), Rosenberg's self-esteem (RSEs, 1989), Cook's internal shame (1998), and Goss' external shame (1994) scales. Variance analysis with repeated measures was used for data analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean of self-esteem and the shame experience in both emotion-focused and self-compassion groups in the post-test and control groups (P<0.05). That is, two interventions have significantly increased self-esteem and reduced shame experience compared to the control group. Also, the results of the Bonferroni test for comparing the mean effectiveness of the two groups showed no significant difference between them in increasing self-esteem and reducing shame in these individuals (P>0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that despite the effectiveness of both interventions in increasing self-esteem and reducing shame in women with binge eating disorders, the superiority of one intervention over the other is not statistically significant.},

abstract ={The current research aimed to compare the effectiveness of executive function empowerment training and emotion regulation skills training on emotional maturity in adolescents visiting the counseling center of the Martyrs Foundation and Veterans Affairs in Babol City. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test-post-test and control group. The statistical population of this study included all 15 to 16-year-old female adolescents visiting the counseling center of the Martyrs Foundation and Veterans Affairs in Babol City during the academic year 2023. A total of 45 individuals were selected based on availability and inclusion criteria and randomly assigned to two experimental groups of 15 and one control group of 15. The Sing and Bhargava Emotional Maturity Scale (1999) was used to collect data. Summary sessions of executive function empowerment training were conducted in 10 sessions of 60 minutes each, and summary sessions of emotion regulation skills training were conducted in 10 sessions of 90 minutes each for the experimental groups. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test means of the three groups in emotional maturity and its components (P<0.05); In addition, no significant difference was observed between the post-test and follow-up groups (P<0.05). Also, there was a significant difference between the post-test mean of the two experimental groups (P<0.05). It can be concluded that the training in emotion regulation skills has been a more efficient and effective intervention than the training in empowerment of executive functions.},

abstract ={The present research aimed to determine the mediating role of fear of negative evaluation in the relationship between helicopter parenting and social anxiety in adolescents. The present research utilized a descriptive-correlational research method employing structural equation modeling. The statistical population of this study was first and second-grade high school students of Jam City in 2023. In this research, 270 people were selected by the available sampling method. To collect the data, the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN; Connor et al., 2000), helicopter parenting scale (HPS; Lemon and Bachmann., 2014), and Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNES; Larry., 1983) were used. The results indicated that the proposed model was a good fit and helicopter parenting and fear of negative evaluation had a direct effect on social anxiety; Also, helicopter parenting had a direct effect on the fear of negative evaluation (P<0.05). The results of the bootstrap test showed that fear of negative evaluation played a mediating role between helicopter parenting and social anxiety (P<0.05). The results of this study suggest that the helicopter parenting style is an important factor in increasing the social anxiety of students. Also, this relationship is mediated by fear of negative evaluation. Helicopter parenting can lead to an increase in students' social anxiety due to the fear of negative evaluation and there is a linear relationship between these variables.},

title = {Predicting marriage stability based on gender roles and marital justice},
abstract ={This research aimed to determine the relationship between gender roles and marital justice on marital stability among married individuals. This study was descriptive-correlational. The population of this study included married individuals residing in Rasht City in 2023. The sampling method was convenience sampling, and a sample of 223 individuals was considered. The research instruments included the Sex Role Inventory (SRI; Bem,1974), the Perceived Marital Equity Measure (PEM; Perry, 2004), and the Marital Instability Index (MII; Edwards et al., 1978). Data was analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the stability of marriage has a significant relationship positively with stereotypical male roles and negatively with stereotypical female roles and marital justice (P<0.05), as well as the results of multiple linear regression. It showed that these variables explain a total of 33% of the variance of marriage stability (P<0.05). It can be concluded that gender roles are a determining factor in predicting marital stability, and observing justice and understanding equal rights in marital relationships is a significant step towards marital stability.},
