The aim of this study is The Role of gender and Theory of Mind in Predicting Empathy Methods: The method is descriptive – correlation and  The population The study included all children in second grade and third grade primary school in Ardabil were in the 2015 school year. A sample of 200 students, 100 girls (50%) and 100 boys (50%), selected by multistage random cluster In order to measure empathy was used from Empathy test and  To measure theory of mind was used Reading the Mind in the Eyes Task (RMET). Obtained Data were analyzed using multiple regressions through simultaneous entry method and Pearson correlation, and T-independent.
 Results: The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between Theory of Mind and empathy and  There is significant positive correlation between empathy and gender , and Theory of Mind  and gender are well able to predict empathy, and it was found significant differences in the variables of the theory of mind and empathy There are male and female students. In other words, the average theory of mind and empathy among female students than male students. Conclusion: Since cognitive training is one of the common methods of training, to increase people’s empathy, we can emphasize on the training variables such as theory of mind specially in boys.
