By purposeful sampling method, 40 mothers with sons with confrontational disobedience were selected and randomly selected in The experimental groups (n = 20) and the control group (n = 20) was replaced. PSDQ (Robinson et al. (2001)). The experimental group participated in 15 one-hour sessions two days a week. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance and Spss 26 software. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed that parenting education based on motivational psychotherapy has led to improving maternal parenting style and reducing children's anxiety (P <0.001). From the above findings, it can be concluded that parenting education based on motivational psychotherapy improves maternal parenting style and reduces children's anxiety and this education can be used to reduce children's anxiety.
