Abstract: (91 Views)
This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) on workplace distress and life satisfaction. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test–post-test design and a control group. This study's statistical population consisted of all engineering and construction company employees involved in power plant projects of the MAPNA Group in 2024. A sample of 48 participants was selected using convenience sampling and randomly assigned into two groups of 24 (experimental and control groups). The Workplace Outcomes Suite (WOS) test (Lennox et al, 2010) was used to assess workplace distress, while a five-session protocol (one session per week, each lasting 5 hours) of the Employee Assistance Program was used for the intervention. Data were analyzed using Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA). After controlling for the pre-test effect, the results showed a significant difference between the post-test means of workplace distress and life satisfaction between the experimental and control groups (p<0.001). From the above results, it can be concluded that the employee assistance program leads to a decrease in distress at work and an increase in employee life satisfaction.
