Abstract: (77 Views)
This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on life expectancy and spiritual well-being of divorced women, referring to Behzisti. The method of this research was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The statistical population of this study included divorced women who referred to the Tabriz City Behzisti Office in the second half of 1402. Among the,m 40 people were selected through purposive sampling and randomly assigned to an experimental group (20 people) and a control group (20 people). Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was used to analyze the data. Two questionnaires, Spiritual Well-Being (SWBS) by Palotzin and Ellison (1983) and Adult Life Expectancy (AHS) by Snyder et al. (1991), were used to collect data. The findings showed that by controlling for the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference between the mean post-test of life expectancy and spiritual well-being in the experimental and control groups at the 0.05 level. Therefore, from the above findings, it can be concluded that acceptance and commitment therapy was effective in increasing life expectancy and improving spiritual well-being.
