Abstract: (18 Views)
The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between proactive personality and academic support with students' flourishing, mediated by creative self-efficacy. This study is classified as applied research with respect to its purpose and employs a correlational design in terms of its methodology. The population includes undergraduate students from Shiraz University in the academic year 2024-2025; among them, 350 students were selected as samples by multistage cluster random sampling. Research questionnaires included: Proactive Personality Scale (PPS; Bateman & Crant, 1993), Academic Support Questionnaire (ASQ; Sands & Plunkett, 2005), Creative Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (CSQ; Karwowski, 2010), and Flourishing Scale (FS; Diener et al., 2010). Structural equation analysis was used to analyze the data. Findings showed that the proposed model had a good fit and explained 52% of the variance in creative self-efficacy and 51% of the variance in flourishing. Proactive personality, academic support, and creative self-efficacy each have a significant direct and positive effect on flourishing (p<0.05), and creative self-efficacy also has a significant direct effect on flourishing (p<0.05). The Bootstrap analysis showed that creative self-efficacy plays a mediating role in the relationship between proactive personality and flourishing (p<0.05); however, the path from academic support to flourishing is not mediated by creative self-efficacy (p>0.05). It can be concluded that proactive personality plays an important role in promoting students’ flourishing through improving creative self-efficacy, and academic support is also an effective contributing factor.
