Abstract:   (20 Views)
The aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy on stress, psychological resilience, and coping styles in married women with marital conflicts. The study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the study was all married women with marital conflicts and referring to medical and counseling centers in Tehran in 1404, from which 30 people were selected conveniently and randomly placed in two groups of 15 people, experimental and control. Data collection tools included the Clough et al. Mental Resilience Questionnaire (2002, MTQ), Cohen et al. Perceived Stress Scale (1983, PSS), and Endler and Parker Coping Strategy Questionnaire (1990, CSQ). The experimental group received one Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy session per week in 10 90-minute sessions. Multivariate analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data. The results showed that by controlling for the pretest effect, there was a significant difference between the posttest of the experimental and control groups in stress, psychological resilience, and coping styles in married women with marital conflicts (p<0.05). From the above findings, it can be concluded that Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy had an effect on stress, psychological resilience, and coping styles in married women with marital conflicts.
