Abstract: (14 Views)
The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of resilience and religiosity in the relationship between family and peer attachment and delinquency tendencies of female students. The study used a descriptive-correlational path analysis. The statistical population included female high school students in Ahvaz in 2024, from which 200 students were selected as a sample using cluster sampling. To collect data, questionnaires were used for the tendency to delinquent behaviors (TDB; Zahed Zahedani and Almasi, 2007), attachment to parents and peers (IPP-A; Armsden and Greenberg, 1978), resilience (CD-RIS; Connor and Davidson, 2003), and religiosity (CS-RQ; Arian, 2008). We analyzed the data using path analysis. The results showed that the final model had a good fit and that secure attachment to family and peers was directly and indirectly related to the tendency to delinquent behavior (P<0.05). Also, resilience and religiosity played a significant mediating role in the relationship between attachment and the tendency to delinquent behavior (P<0.05). In general, the findings indicated that secure attachment, through strengthening internal and spiritual resources, can lead to a decrease in the tendency to engage in delinquent behaviors in female students.
