This research examined the mediating role of emotional intelligence in the relationship between psychological capital and job loafing. The research is in terms of purpose, fundamental and with correlation type. The statistical population consisted of 120 employees of Islamic Azad University, Bojnourd Branch According to the Krejsi-Morgan table, 92 people were selected by simple random method. Data were collected by questionnaires. The Luthans Psychological Capital (2007) with (α = 0.814) and Gladson (2009) emotional intelligence questionnaire with (α = 0.888) and the Rafeian job loafing Questionnaire (2013) with (α = 0.710) that had formal and content validity. SPSS 18 and PLS software were used to analyze the data. Regarding the value obtained for the GOF at 0.257, the appropriate fit for the general model is confirmed. The amount of path coefficient between psychological capital and emotional intelligence is 0.64. The amount of path coefficient between emotional intelligence and occupational work is -0.61. The findings show that there is a relationship between the psychological capital and job loafing with the role of mediator of emotional intelligence.
