Abstract: (2469 Views)
Despite this fact that the common protocols designed for non-chronic depression have low effectiveness in treatment of chronic depression, there are rare treatment protocols that developed especially for chronic depression. The Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP) is the only treatment model especially designed for chronic depression. The object of this descriptive-analytic study is to introduce this treatment approach-as a promising treatment for chronic depression-including the basic assumptions, the theory of psychopathology, the treatment model, the treatment process, and the therapeutic techniques. Finally the studies on the effectiveness of CBASP in the treatment of chronic depression are reviewed and summarized.
