Adaptation to chronic diseases is an essential strategy for patients' satisfaction with individual and social life and to improve their performance and efficiency with chronic illnesses. In addition to causing biological disorders, chronic diseases cause problems and mental conditions for patients, so their resilience is significantly reduced. Decreased stability causes them to experience psychological suffering in addition to feeling physical pain consistently. Adaptation to chronic illness reduces abnormal psychological outcomes and increases life satisfaction in patients with chronic illness. Anxiety, stress, and depression caused by chronic diseases in the global corona outbreak, due to the frightening and mysterious nature of the virus, and its high mortality rate, have been added to the anxiety caused by chronic disease. Therefore, to adapt to chronic diseases in pandemic conditions, more efforts are needed, and it is necessary to revise the traditional protocols and adapt them to the current conditions. Among the factors that effectively reduce the psychological consequences of chronic diseases, spirituality has an important role that is described in this article.
