The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on Stress and Care Tolerance Among Mothers with Autistic Children.The study population included all mothers of autistic children 4-6 years in autism training centers in Alborz province, in the 94-95 school year. Of these, 30 mothers were selected by convenience sampling and then randomly divided into two experimental and control groups.Acceptance and commitment group therapy was administered to the experimental group in 8  In the Group sessions and control group did not receive any therapy And After the sessions, the post-test was conducted. Research tool was Perceived Stress Questionnaire and Care tolerance questionnaire. To analyze the results used of the univariate analysis of covariance. Results showed that the mean scores of perceived stress were significantly reduced in the experimental group (P <05/0). Similarly, the mean care tolerance in the experimental group increased significantly (P <05/0).
