The aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy based on parent training on cognitive errors and hot and cold executive actions of students with disruptive mood disorder. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The statistical population was the male students of the first secondary level who referred to the counseling centers of Tabriz city in 1402. From this population, based on the entry and exit criteria, 30 people were selected by the purposeful sampling method, and 15 were selected in the experimental group and the control group. People were replaced randomly. Cognitive errors questionnaire (CEQ, Guin et al., 2011) and executive actions (EFDQ, Jojia et al., 2020) were used to collect data. Data analysis was done with the statistical method of multivariate covariance analysis. The results showed that by controlling the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference in the level (P<0.01) between the mean cognitive errors and hot and cold post-test executive actions of the experimental and control groups. In fact, cognitive behavioral therapy based on parent education improves hot and cold executive actions and reduces cognitive errors.
