The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of solution-focused therapy on emotional flexibility and meaning in the lives of women faced with their husbands' infidelity. The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of this study included all women affected by marital infidelity who were referred to counseling centers in District 18 of Tehran in 2023. From the statistical population of the study, 30 women were selected by convenience sampling and randomly placed in two groups of 15 experimental and control individuals. Rashid and Bayat's Emotional Flexibility Questionnaires (2019, EFI) and Steger et al.'s Meaning in Life Questionnaire (2006, MLQ) were used to collect data. Participants in the experimental group received 8 sessions of Grant's solution-focused therapy. The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance. The findings showed that by controlling for the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference between the mean post-test of emotional flexibility and meaning of life in the two groups at the P<0.01 level. Therefore, it can be concluded that solution-focused therapy had an acceptable effect on improving emotional flexibility and the meaning of life in individuals faced with a spouse's betrayal.
