The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on Cognitive emotion regulation, depression, and anxiety in women with MS. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The statistical population included all the women with MS in Tehran city in 2023-2024, and 30 people were selected by the available sampling method and randomly replaced in two experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. The experimental group underwent twelve 90-minute session-based cognitive-behavioral therapy. Data collection tools included the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI, Beck ,1996) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI, Beck et al ,1988) and the Garnefski Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnair )GCERQ , Garnefski et al. 2001). Data analysis was done by covariate analysis of variance.The findings showed that by controlling the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference at the 0.01 level between the post-test mean of Cognitive emotion regulation, depression, and anxiety in the two experimental and control groups.These results state that cognitive-behavioral therapy is a suitable psychyotherapy method on improving to Cognitive Emotion Regulation and reduce depression, and anxiety in women with MS.
