The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of psychological resilience in the relationship between sense of coherence and flourishing in female heads of households. This descriptive-correlational study was of the structural equation modeling type. The statistical population of this study was female heads of households in Rasht city in 2024; 207 people participated using the convenience sampling method. Data collection was carried out using the Flourishing Scale (FS; Diener & Biswas-Diener, 2008), the Mental Resilience Questionnaire (MTQ; Papageorgiou et al., 2018), and the Sense of Coherence Questionnaire (SOC; Antononsky, 1993). Data analysis was also carried out using structural equation analysis. The results showed that the proposed model has a favorable fit; the results also showed that sense of coherence had a significant direct effect on flourishing (P<0.001). Also, the predictor and mediator variables were able to explain 38% of the variance in flourishing. Another result of the bootstrap method also showed that psychological resilience had a significant indirect effect on the relationship between sense of coherence and flourishing (P<0.001). The results of this study indicate that psychological resilience has a direct and indirect effect on the flourishing of female heads of households through a sense of coherence.
