This study aimed to determine the mediating role of social anxiety in the relationship between addiction to addiction to social networks and cyberbullying in adolescents. This descriptive-correlational study was of the structural equation modeling type. The statistical population of this study was high school students in Bandar Anzali city in 2025. 200 of them participated in this study using the convenience sampling method and responded to the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN; Connor et al., 2000), the Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (ASNMQ; Khajeh Ahmadi et al., 2016), and Cyber-Bullying/ Victimization Experiences Questionnaire (CBVEQ; Antiado et al., 2016). Data analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling method. The findings showed that the proposed model has a favorable fit. The results showed that addiction to addiction to social networks and social anxiety had a positive direct effect on cyberbullying; addiction to social networks also had a positive direct effect on social anxiety (P<0.05). The results of the bootstrap test showed that social anxiety played a mediating role in the relationship between addiction to social networks and cyberbullying (P<0.05). In summary, it can be concluded that addiction to social networks has a direct and mediated effect on cyberbullying.
