Abstract:   (6 Views)
The present study aimed to investigate married students' strategies in coping with life challenges. The method was qualitative, the descriptive phenomenology type. The participants of this study consisted of 12 married students who were studying in the academic year 2024-2025 at one of the public universities in Tehran, who were selected through purposeful sampling and underwent semi-structured interviews until data saturation was reached. Analysis of the participants' interviews using the Colaizzi method yielded 4 main themes, 13 sub-themes, and 87 initial concepts. The strategies used by the students encompassed executive self-regulation (time and energy management, environmental organization, adaptive parenting management), interpersonal relationship regulation (spousal negotiation and coordination, mobilization of social support, confrontational strategies), cognitive reconstruction (mental framework rearrangement, perfectionism moderation, impression management and competence demonstration), and integrated emotional regulation and spiritual beliefs (self-care and negative emotion moderation, reliance on a higher power and existential meaning-making(. Identifying Coping Strategies for life Challenges of Married Students can help improve the mental health of students and their families.
