Abstract: (46 Views)
The present study aimed to determine the relationship between childhood traumatic experiences and phubbing behavior with the mediating role of dissociative experiences and mindfulness in married people. The research method was descriptive-correlational using structural equation modeling. The statistical population of this study consisted of married men and women in Ardabil in 2025 who had referred to counseling and psychological service centers. 250 people were selected by convenience sampling, but the final analysis was performed on 238 samples. The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ; Bernstein et al., 2003), General Scale of Phabbing (GSP; Chotpitayasunondh and Douglas, 2018), the Freiburg Mindfulness Inventory (FMI-SF; Walach et al. (2006), and the Dissociative Experiences Scale-II (BES-II; Bernstein & Putnam, 1986) were used to collect data. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling. The findings showed that the proposed model had a favorable fit. Traumatic childhood experiences, mindfulness, and dissociative experiences had a significant direct effect on phubbing behavior (P<0.05). Traumatic childhood experiences had a significant direct effect on dissociative experiences and mindfulness (P<0.05). Also, the results of the bootstrap test showed that dissociative experiences and mindfulness played a mediating role in the relationship between traumatic childhood experiences and phubbing. (P<0.05). The findings indicate that traumatic childhood experiences had a direct effect on phubbing behavior in married individuals, with the mediating role of dissociative experiences and mindfulness.
