Abstract:   (18 Views)
The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral play therapy on creativity and self-efficacy in girls aged 7 to 10 years. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of this study included girls aged 7 to 10 years in Shiraz in 2024. From the statistical population of the study, 60 children were selected using the available method and randomly placed in two groups of 30, experimental and control. The Torrance Creativity Test (1998, TTCT) and the Morris Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (2001, SEQ-C) were used to collect data. Play therapy with a cognitive-behavioral approach was implemented for the experimental group in 6 45-minute sessions, one session per week. The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance. The findings showed that by controlling for the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference between the mean post-test of creativity and self-efficacy in the two groups at the P<0.01 level. Therefore, it can be concluded that play therapy with a cognitive behavioral approach had an acceptable effect on the creativity and self-efficacy of female children.
