Abstract: (130 Views)
The aim of the present study was to predict teachers' organizational commitment based on job motivation, distress tolerance, and job attachment. The present study is an applied research in terms of its purpose and a correlational study in terms of its method. The statistical population of the study included elementary school teachers in Tehran, who were selected as a group through cluster random sampling of 320 people. The instruments of this study included the organizational commitment questionnaires of Mayer and Allen (1991, OCQ), Hockman and Oldham's job motivation (1976, MPS), Simmons and Gahr's distress tolerance (2005, DTS), and Edwards and Kilpatrick's job attachment (1984, JAQ). The research analysis method was Pearson correlation and regression analysis using the simultaneous method. The results of data analysis showed that job motivation, distress tolerance, and job attachment are positively and significantly correlated with teachers' organizational commitment. These findings indicate that enhancing job motivation and distress tolerance can help increase teachers' organizational commitment. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that school administrators design support and training programs to increase teachers' job engagement and motivation, thereby enhancing their commitment levels.
