Abstract: (254 Views)
The aim of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of schema mode therapy on bullying, victimization, and fighting among adolescent girls with a history of non-suicidal self-injury. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest and control group. The statistical population consisted of adolescent girls aged 12 to 18, with a history of non-suicidal self-injury in Isfahan, during the fall of 2024. The sample included 30 participants selected through purposive sampling and randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. The measurement tool used was the Bullying Questionnaire developed by Espelage and Holt (IBS, 2001). The experimental group underwent schema mode therapy in 10 weekly sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, while the control group received no intervention. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA). The results indicated that, after controlling for the pretest scores, there was a significant difference at the 0.05 level between the experimental and control groups in posttest scores of bullying, victimization, and fighting. The findings suggest that schema mode therapy was effective in reducing bullying, victimization, and fighting among adolescent girls with a history of non-suicidal self-injury.
