Abstract: (10 Views)
The present study aimed to predict the desire for divorce based on emotional regulation with the mediating role of resilience in women seeking divorce. The present study method was descriptive-correlational structural equation modeling. The statistical population included women seeking divorce who referred to counseling centers in Arak in the spring of 2025, from which 250 people were selected as samples using purposive sampling method. Data were collected using Rusbult et al's Divorce Tendency Scale (DTS, 1986), Garnefski & Kraaij's Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), and Connor & Davidson's Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). The obtained data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient test and structural equation modeling. Based on the research findings, the proposed model had a good fit. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between emotion regulation and resilience with the desire for divorce (P<0.01). The results confirmed the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between emotion regulation and the desire for divorce in women seeking divorce (P<0.01). Therefore, it can be concluded that the desire for divorce is significantly predicted based on emotion regulation with the mediating role of resilience in women seeking divorce.
