Abstract: (14 Views)
The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between successful intelligence and social adjustment of students. The research method was descriptive-correlational of the structural equation modeling type. The statistical population of the present study comprised sixth-grade students in District 3 of Isfahan in the academic year 2024-2025, totaling 4354 individuals, from whom 350 students were selected using stratified random sampling proportional to strata size. The data were collected by the Successful Intelligence Questionnaire (SIQ, 2002), Sternberg, the Social Adjustment Questionnaire (SAQ,2011), Sohrabi et al., and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC,2003), Connor & Davidson. The obtained data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling. The results indicated a good fit of the research model and revealed a positive, significant relationship between successful intelligence and social adjustment (p ≤ 0.01). It was also found that resilience mediated the relationship between successful intelligence and social adjustment (p ≤ 0.01). From the above findings, it can be concluded that successful intelligence and resilience in a complex and multifaceted interaction can predict students' social adaptation.
