Abstract:   (14 Views)
The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of self-compassion and resilience in the relationship between mindfulness and life satisfaction in students. The method of this study was descriptive-correlational and structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the study included students of Birjand University in the academic year 2025-2026, of which 354 students participated in the study through convenience sampling. The instruments of this study included Brown and Ryan's Mindfulness Awareness Scale (MAAS, 2003), Raese et al.'s Self-Compassion Scale (SCS-SF, 2011), Connor and Davidson's Resilience Scale (CD-RISC, 2003), and Diener et al.'s Life Satisfaction Scale (SWLS, 1985). The data from the study were analyzed using structural equation analysis. The findings of this study indicated a favorable fit of the proposed model. The results showed that the direct path of self-compassion and resilience on life satisfaction was significant (P<0.05), but the direct path of mindfulness on life satisfaction was not significant (P>0.05). The results of the bootstrap test for indirect paths indicated that self-compassion and resilience play a mediating role in the relationship between mindfulness and life satisfaction (P<0.01). Accordingly, it can be concluded that mindfulness only indirectly affects life satisfaction through self-compassion and resilience.
