The aim of the present study was to validation of the Persian form of an enlarged version of the agentic engagement scale in high school students. The present study was a descriptive-correlational and psychometric study. High school students in Fardis County in the academic year 2024-2025 constituted the statistical population of this study. 357 people were surveyed using available sampling method and responded to the Persian form of the enlarged version of the agentic engagement scale for students (EVSAES, Mameli and Passini, 2019) and some subscales of academic engagement and disengagement questionnaire (AEDQ, Jang et al., 2016). The validity of the scale was examined using confirmatory factor analysis and convergent and divergent validity and the reliability of the scale was calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, McDonald's omega, split-half method, and test-retest reliability. The results of confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the single-factor construct validity of this scale. The positive correlation between agentic engagement and behavioral engagement (P<0.01, r=0.56), agentic engagement and emotional engagement (P<0.01, r=0.58), agentic engagement and cognitive engagement (P<0.01, r=0.53), and the negative correlation between agentic engagement and agentic disengagement (P<0.01, r=-0.63) indicated the confirmation of the convergent and divergent validity of the scale. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was estimated to be 0.847, the McDonald's omega coefficient was 0.887, the Guttman split-half coefficient was 0.780, and the test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.817 over a 10-day period. It can be concluded that the enlarged version of the agentic engagement scale has good validity and reliability in high school students.
