Abstract: (13 Views)
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of psychological resilience training on meta-worry and self-criticism levels in adolescents with social anxiety disorder Symptoms. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of this study was female second-year high school students in Ardabil in the academic year 2024-2025, of whom 39 were selected by purposive sampling and were divided into two groups: psychological resilience training (n=19) and a control group (n=20). The experimental group received 8 90-minute sessions of psychological resilience training, and the control group did not receive any intervention. To collect data, the social anxiety scale (LSAS; Liebowitz, 1987), the levels of self-criticism scale (LOSC; Thampson & Zuroff, 2004), and the meta-worry questionnaire (MWQ; Wells, 2005) were used. Data analysis was performed using analysis of covariance. The findings of the study showed that by controlling for the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference at the 0.001 level between the mean post-test of meta-worry and its components and the levels of self-criticism of the experimental and control groups. The results indicated the usefulness of psychological resilience training in reducing meta-worry and levels of self-criticism in adolescents with social anxiety disorder Symptoms.
