Abstract: (1264 Views)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on psychological capital and work-family conflict in Education Staff. This research is applied in terms of purpose and semi-experimental in terms of method. The statistical population of the study included 110 education staff of Shahinshahr city. Based on purposive sampling, 30 employees with higher work-family conflict scores were selected and randomly assigned to experimental (n = 15) and control (n = 15) groups. The experimental group received acceptance and commitment therapy training for 8 sessions. The Work-Family Conflict Scale (Carlson et al, 2000) and the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (Lutans, 2007) were used to collect data in pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance. Findings showed that acceptance and commitment therapy was effective in reducing work-family conflict and increasing the two components of psychological capital (self-efficacy and optimism). According to the present study, acceptance and commitment-based therapy can be considered as a suitable way to increase psychological capital and reduce work-family conflict in employees.
