The present study aimed to explore the lived experiences of female students from conflicts between them and their parents. The research method was qualitative and used a phenomenological approach in the academic year 2022-2023. The participants in this study were 10 female students from the first and second levels of secondary school in Qain and Nehbandan cities of South Khorasan using a purposive sampling method. The research data reached theoretical saturation after interviewing these 10 people. The data extracted from the interviews were analyzed using the seven-step Claise method. The four criteria of Guba and Lincoln were used to validate the findings. The experiences of female students were classified into two main categories, six subcategories, and twenty codes, the main categories of which included causes of conflicts and consequences of conflict, and the subcategories of independence, generational gap, cultural and religious prejudices, gender discrimination, emotional and psychological consequences, and educational consequences. From the research findings, it can be concluded that the causes of parent-child conflicts are due to two categories of adolescent characteristics, such as independence and the development of individual identity, excessive contact with the media, which leads to a generation gap, and cultural and religious prejudices, in addition to the aforementioned issues, cause differences in the views of children and parents and conflict, which leads to conflict and emotional-psychological educational consequences.
