The purpose of this study was the effectiveness of the Instruction of Mindfulness-based stress Reduction Program on the Happiness of Mothers Intellectual Disability Adolescent in Kermanshah. The research method was quasi- experimental with time series (pretest, posttest) and control group design. The statistical sample of this research was 30 mothers of intellectual disability adolescent from exceptional schools in sarpolezehab city in 2014-2015 academic years. The sample were selected by convenient sampling method and randomly divided into experimental and control groups, each of which consisted of 15 individuals. The experimental group received instruction of mindfulness- based stress reduction program in 8 educational sessions, but control group did not. For gathering the data, the oxford happiness inventory (OHI) was used. For data analysis, univariate covariance analysis was used. The results have shown that group counseling based on positive thinking has been effective in increasing the happiness of mothers Intellectual Disability Adolescent. The findings of present research indicated that of the instruction of mindfulness- based stress reduction program can be used for problems reduction due of having Intellectual Disability Adolescent.
