The present study aimed to Effectiveness of Group Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Exposure on Neuroticism and Mental Pain of Patients Suffering from Sleep Apnea. The present study was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group with a three-month follow-up period. The Population of this study was the patients with obstructive sleep apnea who were referred to the sleep clinic of Golestan Hospital in 2025. 30 people were selected by purposive sampling and were randomly placed in two groups: experimental and control. The Instruments included neo five factor inventory (NEO-FFI, McCrae & Costa, 1991) and the Mental Pain Scale (MPS; Orbach et al., 2003). The experimental group received 8 sessions of 45 minutes of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy treatments. Data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Bonferroni post hoc tests. The findings showed that there were significant differences (p<.001) between the pretest and posttest scores for Neuroticism and Mental Pain in the experimental and control groups. Additionally, no significant difference (p>.001) was found between the posttest and follow-up means in the experimental group, indicating that intervention effects were maintained over the follow-up period. Overall, it can be concluded that Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy can be effective in decreasing Neuroticism and Mental Pain of patients with sleep apnea over time.
